Write for us
We welcome thoughtful pitches and finished contributions about local theatre and community performance. Send proposals through the Contact page, with enough detail for us to understand the idea and how it would serve a curious reader.
Ideas that fit
We are interested in clear, specific writing about playgoing, performance, stagecraft, production and theatrical traditions. A strong contribution might explain one choice, compare distinct approaches, offer useful context or help readers notice something they might otherwise miss.
A useful pitch
Tell us the working subject, the central idea, the intended reader and why the piece belongs with Local Theatre Review. Include a short outline and any relevant sources or access needs. Keep the proposal focused enough that its main point is easy to see.
Original and considered
Contributions should be original, accurate and written in a natural voice. Separate what you know from what you infer, avoid unsupported claims and respect the people and communities involved. We may suggest edits for clarity, length or fit before a piece is accepted.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the option for an editorial question or contribution. A proposal is not an assurance of publication; we will consider its fit, usefulness and distinct point of view.
