Editorial policy
Local Theatre Review aims to make its writing clear, fair and dependable. We distinguish fact from interpretation, explain uncertainty where it matters and correct errors when they are brought to our attention.
Accuracy and care
We take care with names, dates, descriptions and claims, and check details against suitable sources before publication. We do not present an impression as an established fact. If a subject involves disagreement or incomplete information, we make that clear rather than smoothing it away.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a promise of favourable coverage. A complimentary ticket, access offer or other consideration does not guarantee a mention or a positive response. Where a relationship could affect how a piece is understood, we explain it.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error, please contact us with the article title and the detail that needs attention. We review correction requests, update material when warranted and make significant changes clear to readers.
Partners and illustrations
Paid, gifted or partner-supported material is labelled so readers can recognise its nature. Partner placements are kept distinct from editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when relevant, their illustrative role is identified and they are not presented as documentary images.
